Good vs Evil - Shades of Grey

These two were barely finished being tacked together and the last string knotted before they were off and exploring with a life of their own.

Somehow they got into my supplies. Apparently one took to scavenging materials to create costumes and tools (or weapons apparently) and the other began destroying everything it could get its posable little paws on!

They'll take turns too. Just after I intervened in this little incident I found the grey one had taken up the shredding and the black was now valiantly trying to stop it.

I guess they both just want to be better at whatever the other ones doing.

Unfortunately just as this contest was announced my computer died and took more than a couple weeks to get replaced. Any entry I was trying needed to be something that wouldn't be digital. I had a sudden inspiration for the scene you see here - figured it'd be hard but I might be able to pull it off, made a few sketches and started designing the patterns. From start to finish both these two rabbits were designed and made by me for this contest. Finished just in time!

Firsts for me in creating these two little rabbits were...
...designing and making a pattern this complex (I haven't done much like this before)
...using wire in the limbs and ears for posing
...needle sculpting
...embroidering
...attempting jointed limb
...trying anything like this!

I learned so much! :3 They are incredibly posable and can actually stand on their own if balanced right. Also cute and fuzzy~
